Supporting Your Gay Child
Without Compromising Your Faith in Christ
As a Christian parent, one of the hardest things to determine, when your child ‘comes out,’ is where to draw the line between love and acceptance, between compassion and compromising your faith.
No parent ever hopes their child will grow up to have Same-Sex Attraction (SSA). And when they do, parents find themselves bombarded with a vast assortment of decisions to make and questions to answer in response to their child’s SSA; questions they have no clue how to answer! This call will give you the tools you need to draw clear boundaries that enable you to love your child wholeheartedly while maintaining your own identity as a follower of Christ and child of God.
And, for parents who may have already “blown up” your relationship with your SSA child, Mary offers insights into how to repair that relationship in a way that honors God and your child. It’s never too late to begin again! Join us on this call to find out how.
Seasoned ministry leader and Certified Professional Life Coach, Mary Comm, offers balanced insights into how to navigate the complex and delicate balance between offering unconditional love to your LGBT child without compromising your faith in Jesus Christ—while simultaneously laying the groundwork for maintaining a loving and mutually respectful parent/child relationship.
On this call, you will:

About Uncommon Love
We, at Uncommon Love Ministries, are a group of parents with Same-Sex Attracted kids who are either struggling with their sexual orientation or are living the homosexual lifestyle. We understand the pain, fear, uncertainty, and confusion over how to set appropriate and loving boundaries with our SSA children while working to maintain a solid relationship with them and honoring God and ourselves according to our faith in Christ.
Uncommon Love Ministries exists to honor and represent Christ well as we equip churches and families to unconditionally love those affected by SSA and homosexuality without compromising their faith or the truth of God’s Word. We accomplish this by:
- Providing Christ-centered materials and support for churches and families affected by Same-Sex Attraction/Homosexuality.
- Promoting compassionate understanding without compromise as Jesus did, loving those affected by SSA/Homosexuality with truth, grace, and sincere love.
- Meeting a need for families that is in line with the heart of God according to biblical standards.
- Creating a biblical standard for relating to families affected by homosexuality.
- Using our gifts, talents, abilities, and passion for ministering to the hurting with God’s truth, comfort, and hope, in line with God’s calling on our lives according to Isaiah 63:1-4.
Uncommon Love Ministries is thoroughly Biblical and holds to the Biblical truth that God’s design for marriage and sexual intimacy are ordained only for heterosexual couples, while also affirming that the wounds of life often drive us to behave in ways that are in conflict with God’s best for us. We affirm that God is a God who changes hearts, heals wounds, and transforms lives for our best and for His glory.
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things….”
Psalm 103:2-5a NIV
